Since 1990, women have made up 60% of new entrants into the legal profession and yet still, only 28% of partners in private practice are female.

How can we challenge this head on?  How can we prevent so many talented women from leaving the law?

FRS Associates has launched Developing Diversity, a network specifically for women starting out in their legal careers.  Developing Diversity aims to arm associates with the skills to succeed and connect them with a network of like-minded ambitious and innovative junior female lawyers.

Through a series of unique events, Developing Diversity will explore topics such as increasing your gravitas, how to effectively self-promote and build your brand, plus offer access to inspirational senior female role models and exciting networking opportunities.

Our first event, ‘Speak So Other’s Listen’ will be held at Travers Smith Snow Hill office on Wednesday 14th November where will we have a riveting discussion focusing on how to create gravitas in your interactions with senior partners and clients.

Caroline Goyder, expert corporate coach, TEDx Speaker and Author of bestselling book “Gravitas”, will be our speaker for the evening.

Caroline has worked extensively with financial institutions, FTSE 100 businesses, law firms and women’s networks, coaching juniors on developing these core skills.  Her work has been featured in The Economist, The Daily Telegraph and the Financial Times.
